Private Reg Numbers.
I know you can transfer & retain these, BUT - my query is my vehicle will probably get written off, has anyone been in a similar situation & know how this gets done, I have informed the Insurance company so they are aware of my desire, but didn't a conclusive answer from the DVLA, also returning road tax for refund & would it be necessary to sorn the vehicle as well.

car, when I brought mine I then took them to be put on my car the car
showroom should help you with this and mine have been now on four cars
when I brought a new car I got them transferred over costing £85 each time
the DVLA will do this but as I suggest you would need the plates good luck

You need to fill in one of these and send to DVLA with the required documents (usually V5C "log book");

well as I said I would put on retention £105, till I get a settlement from insurance, I have filled a form out for that & tax refund & sorn, but not sure if I can because of the outstanding claim process, I have transfered plates 7 times so far - but all of them straightforward until now.
