pc keeps switching itself off

My PC at home keeps on switching itself off, normally about 5-7 minutes after starting. Do you know any obvious reason why it would be doing this? fans seem to be OK & i am up to date with Norton anti-virus

My first guess would be the power supply unit. Do you have a spare to swap out?

Sometimes they do this if the components are running too hot.


Are you overclocking ? (setting components to run at higher performance than they were built for).
