This Is Very Disturbing

currently on Channel 4, on the rise of far right groups,
the one showing just now was on an antisemetic, anti roma party
called Jobbik, from Hungary. They are third in the political polls in Hungary, so not a small party, nor are their ideologies far removed from Nazism, hatred of Jews, and the cleansing of the Roma people they call criminals. So whoever thought we had seen the back of this better think again. Our BNP are small beer in comparison. There are a lot more far right organisations like this across Europe.

I agree with most of what you say but I always feel uncomfortable with the use of the word 'cleansing' when it refers to people.

this isn't just about cleansing, this is about the rise and rise of what was thought eradicated, far right fascism, Nazism, if you had watched the channel 4 piece i wonder any one wouldn't have been shocked. This organisation is not small, and has been doing what the storm troopers did, intimidation, waving their Nazi flags, salutes, they not nutters just out for a ruck, but men and women who call themselves the national guard, this isn't going to go away, and the respective governments have got to stop burying their heads in the sand.

We should be aware of the rise of the far right in Europe. Jobbik isn't the only organisation by any means. But these stupid people would exist anyway, as they did in the 1930's. Extremism will always be waiting just around the corner. They recruit from the less well educated, just like Moseley did...look at most of the marchers in the recent EDL demonstration. Cropped hair, bovver boots, etc. They could have been transported straight out of a football hooligan crowd.
