Can anyone help me with taking a cutting of perennial ivy please?
Time of year and technique? Thanks in advance....

it is very easy to do, just pull a piece off and put in a pot of water for a few days and you will see roots growing , or I have even just put it straight in the ground in damp weather.
Don't do it!! You'll have a garden of it within a couple of years!! I spend weekends cutting back the stuff. That's just a piece of advice.
Anytime of year will do, no technique needed.... ;-)
It is a hell of a job to get rid of matheous - and it damages the fences. Agree with coccenelle - don't do it.

Thanks for that- sounds very easy.....The cuttings not for me, but I am quite happy to have good ground cover around the perimeters of my garden rather than weeds....
Just layer it. roots faster.
