Hi

I am wanting to open up a Halifax account to take advantage of the 6 month 0% overdraft. Basically to open this account all you do is transfer all the actions of the account you're using now, i.e direct debits, to the new Halifax account using the Halifax switching system.

One of the requirements needed to open the account are to have 2 active direct debits going out, that can be transferred over. I currently have one but have just set up another going into a savings account (which you can do apparantly) and this doesn't start until 11th June.

I want to know when I can apply for this account. Would I be able to apply now even though only one direct debit is properly set up and one is pending (but been accepted) OR do I need to wait until 11th June or after (once 2nd direct debit is up and running) before I apply.

Thanks
