I have a very unusual name and I hate it for many reasons.

However, had I got hitched to the future King my name would have at least had some regal qualities recognised by some of Europe's Royal families......no doubt the UK would have considered it a chavvy, made up name though.........
How many of those names do you see today DT?
I'm one of them.
It's not that common, Mojo - though probably the most common of the four of them. I had treatment from a (young) dermatologist with the name too.....
True DT. I see it more lately in young Asian girls.
My grandparents are Hugh Chestnut, Bartholomew Joseph, Agnes Sinclair and Ellen Marie :-)
well out there you do see some bizarre ones. I had a Scarlet, Crystal, Rainbow, Dickens, Clementine, Rosita and Margerhita working for me, amongst the stranger Biblical names. Then there was the Hotel Victoria restaurant with their three waitresses, Chilli, Windy and Me (and those spellings).

The most common name in hotels and restaurants in Hong Kong was "Trainee" though.
ummmm, do you like the name Ellen Marie?

I am definitely NOT a snob - far from it. If you read the title of this thread you will see that I was merely suggesting that to have Monarchs named King William and Queen Kylie, or Queen Tracy would sound distinctly odd. (There would not be a Queen Camilla as someone suggested as she will not have the title of Queen).
By the way, Queen Victoria was Christened Alexandrina as the King would not allow her to have a "royal" name at her Christening. When her mother burst into tears because of this he added "Let her have her mother's name also then" so she became Alexandrina Victoria.
