We have a glow-worm 24ci boiler installed in the loft the heating is o.k(however sometimes it turns irself off) but we have no hot water ,they checked the pressure the standing pressure is 23 but when they turn the boiler on the working pressure goes down to 8 so engineer claims that is why we cant have hot water, what should we do about this problem can you help please.

I think you are refering to the mains water pressure through your boiler for hotwater supply at the taps. If so and your mains pressure is insufficient to operate or give sufficient flow then you could fit a booster pump in the supply. Robinsons and Sons do one for around �200.

Dear sir,


actually I was refering to the gas pressure, they say since the working gas pressure is low that is why you dont have hot water,the gas pipe is also 22mm from the meter to the boiler.
