for the past week the area around my left eye has been bloody itchy, there is no mark that I can see and I haven't changed my skincare/routine and I don't wear much make up so its not that. Is it worth bothering my GP about or should I try very hard to stop scratching at it. Tried using moisturiser and currently dabbing Lavender Oil on to take the itch out - takes the worst out but not completely

Have you tried slices of cucumber? That's very soothing.
"The left eye?".....do you really mean that or do you just mean the eyelid?
I still think it would be worth a visit to your GP. Your eyes are precious.
Good luck.

Cucumber has crossed my mind Tilly.

Its not the eyelid per se Sqad its the bit, if you put the tip of a finger at the corner of your eye its the bit near the temple.

I'm due there in about a week Cupid for something else so if it persists I will mention it unless it gets to the clawing the skin off stage
do you suffer from hayfever?
I am still not quite clear......so it is the skin of the eyelid BUT is the "white of the eye" affected, is it red and itchy?
Question Author
I do suffer Hayfever, but I've passed my stage for it, but it surely would affect both eyes if it was Hayfever, would it not?

Sqad its the area that runs down the eye socket on the skin, from about my brow line. My eye itself is normal and not red nor itchy, just the skin running down the socket area (hope this helps)
Ah! got it now.
Nip to the chemist and get some Hydrocortisone 1% cream and apply thinly twice daily making sure that it is the skin and not the eye itself is applied with the cream.
The instructions MAY say "not to be used for the eyes"....ignore that.
Remember....skin of the eyelid only.

Will do Sqad, thanks...been going nuts with the itching
