Colonoscopy A Walk In The Park

Hi I just had my colonoscopy and I was so nervous even with the stuff I take but I was shown into my room and put into a loveyl gown. and the nurses and doctors were lovely I was given sedation called midazolam and fentanyl and the report says it went all the round the appendix. I dont remember a thing next thing I was back on the ward and it was so easy What was all the worry about.
I had a cup of tea went in at 930am hope at 1230 Thanks for all your support

Same as anticipating a visit to the dentists(well, up to a point) you imagine the experience is going to be worse that it actually is.

You were lucky. My wife had a sigmoidscopy for the bottom of the colon and wasn't given any sedatives at all. She was in terrible pain and the procedure wasn't even completed.

2 biopsies were taken as I had colities and it easy treated by antibiliotics and diet

the consultant said the colistilcs is caused by bad diet and eating !! follwing up with antibiotics and a bettter diet !! Too much red meat white bread and fatty foods a typical western diet they said lol
