Fuerteventura

We have been to most of the Canary Islands but not Fuerteventura.
Can anyone tell me if tends to be windy like Lanzarote. Also, which
resort you would recommend. We like to walk round the resort, and like a
harbour. We have looked at some hotels that appear to be miles away
from the town and just on the beach. We don't tend to sit on the beach
all day but like to see the area.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have friends that go to Fuerteventura specifically because it is very windy, they like to kitesurf and windsurf.

We have been to Fuerteventura and we stayed in Corralejo. The hotel was the first one you get to when going in to Corralejo! It is quite a walk from there into the town so we used to get taxis. It is a bit windy but not too bad. There is a harbour and there was a guy who did sand sculptures every day near there. It's lovely and I'm sure you will enjoy it!
