why is there a big thing about D-day this year? I could understand next year as its 70 years.

I haven't noticed much about it, though I expect the French at least are celebrating. Next year there will be a lot of ceremony, probably a lot less after that as the survivors are dwindling.

i've just notice a bit more in the media about it than previous years.
