Afternoon Tea...

My daughter has treated me and my H to 'Afternoon Tea' at the
'Roselin Hotel' on the Southend esplanade next week. Its not the Ritz but it is still quite posh. Do I wear a summer dress? (I'll have to buy one) or
summer slax & a pretty top? any other idea's?
Anyone been there?

I'm sur should will have a lovely time.
I would be perfectly comfortable in nice trousers and a pretty top.
Things are much more relaxed than they once were and dressing according to the time of day and what one was eating is history. Keep it alive if you wish but let progressionists do their thing too!

I have had afternoon tea at The Ritz and The Savoy. I wore plain black trousers and a nice smartish top on each occasion. It is more important to feel comfortable so you can really enjoy the experience.
All the staff at both hotels were friendly and attentive and really helped to make the afternoon special.
I hope you enjoy yourselves.
