I am a long term user of our luvly AB and will continue using it as my knowledge base. But I blundered into finding this (USA?) site. I have not used it or signed up. Anyone with experience of Answers.com? If so, pro's and cons please. Even ed welcome to comment (some chance, lol).

I find Answers.com hard to navigate in any meaningful way. If you're looking for something to supplement AB, this is the UK offshoot of a major US site: http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/ and this is possibly the best US site: http://www.answerbag.com/

well first impression is it looks a little busy, the questions are hard to see around all the flashing adverts.

Ty cazzzz1976,
You may well be rignt. Even when just visiting, I pressed a topic and up popped an unremovable small ad making the topic invisible. I'll try posting same question on "quizzes and puzzles" as others' responses are so far underwhelming.

Wow Buenchico as usual you demonstrate your vast knowledge - ty very much. Haven't tried your links yet - will sign out of my webmail first.
Interesting contrast with answers to same question in Crosswords section one very funny (ha-ha) one. Read them for a laugh.
As I responded there - alternative site or for other purposes is like having a spare tyre in the car.
Best answer, I'm sure cazzzz1975 agrees, goes to you Buenchico.
Kindest Regards to both,
SIQ.
