Paul died last night in the Archers. Personally I could see it coming a few weeks ago. I used to like Lillian but she has turned into a annoying misery lately. Thank God for Matt...at least some one in the Village is showing he has balls !
Oh, by the way, nice to hear Jolene again after so long ! She has the sexiest voice on radio !
Lilian's blubbering outburst to Jolene didn't seem to fit her normally level-headed character. Some scriptwriter got it wrong there, I think. But isn't Paul's sudden death just an easy way out for the scriptwriters? They dragged out his beating up by Matt's henchman, as if that scenario was going to go on and on, then Paul was suddenly cut off in his prime. Could the writers have simply got fed up of the issue of Paul's getting a thumping?
Well, frugalfred, my wife is betting that they will get back together, but that's another scenario that's being dragged out! Still, there's plenty of time.
I was actually disappointed at the way the Paul /Lillian scenario played out I was hoping for a big dramatic confrontation . Maybe that will still come but at the moment l think it is a bit of a cop out.
Paul's demise will be treated as a "sudden death", and there will be a post-mortem and an inquest. All the messages left by Lillian in P's voicemail will be brought out at the inquest, I suspect.
I agree, Pooka, it's a cop-out. Matt will always be anxious to hang on to Lillian - it's her money in the business.
Maybe things in general will change when the Whitburn woman clears off as editor. I have always felt she was pushing her own agenda.
We don't know for sure how Paul died. It could have been by his own hand. But the big confrontation that we are all waiting for might still happen. After all, Matt knows everything but Lillian doesn't. If she were to find out what a rat Tiger has been ............?
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned apparently ! I think there is still some mileage in this storyline.
On another subject, there seems to be some mystery regarding the wife of the new Super Dairy manager. What do we all think ?
