Hello Spoony fans, one and all. I thought that I would share ny good news with you: although I may be jumping the gun a little, as I have not yet signed the contract, my first book - a whodunit style ghost story - will be published in about four months time. Red Bull has nothing to top that wing lifter.

How has your sunny days been today?

That's fantastic!!!!!

I've always wanted to write a book, but I reckon it be rubbish and no one (other than my mother) would read it.

What's it like releasing your baby into the public eye? Will you be telling us what it's called or do you want to keep your real identity under wraps?

It's all very exciting!
Hi ya Spoony, whats your new book called ?.

Question Author
Yes, there is a second and final part. The first is just over 108k words, and I am about half way from completing the second, which I envisage will be around the 120k word mark. Only a small read.
Question Author
Fingers crossed Sp. But, like an auction, it can go either way. I also have a volume of ten stories lined up, and my "Roman Britain epic" which I am only about a quarter the way through and envisage about 450k to 590k words.
Whodunnit with ghosts. Most people's favourite combinations. Hope you do well.

They say that everybody has a book inside them but most of us never get down to the graft.

I suppose seadogg it all depends on how you approch the idea. I only started writing seriously the last couple of years. Before, I did it just for myself, ironing out a few demons as it were. I had plenty of material to pick into and found it easy to think of the title first and let the story evolve from there - some wierd characters have come out of the mix, while most of the "heroes" are incidental more than being protagonist.

My first stint at writing came when one of my sisters to help her with an essay for English about the plague: she only had to write a thousand words, but using each line of ring o' roses as a chapter and produced five and a half thousand words and got her top marks the following day.

I suppose it takes a little belief in yourself, a belief that you will not shy at the odd kicking in your goal, and perseverence. That, an maturity, which some on here may find difficult to swallow, especially with some of the threads I post :))

We always say it, but I cannot wait to see it in the bookshops, or on-line.

Oh! And a lot of proof reading before you submit, is a must.
