Hiya, please could you tell me if this CD player on ebay is worth the money. I want to buy it as a gift and it looks very nice. Is it worth the money? Can Ibe assured the packaging will be good enough for a gift?

If you have access to a PC then you can "rip" the music from the CD and put it on a MP3 player.
I bought a 256Mb MP3 player for 10 just before xmas at Tescos which can hold 80 songs.
Advantages:
No need to carry round CDs.
CD stays safely in the house so cannot be lost.
No moving parts on the MP3 player (if it is solid state)
You can fit far more songs on an MP3 player than you can on a single CD.
They MP3 player will be smaller.
From what I can see the auction still has 4 days to run, so keep an eye on how high the bid goes especially in the last few hours.
Like Mattk the expression 'slightly used' is very odd. Something is either new or used, not slightly used. My main worry would be the seller being new. Could be perfectly ok but if you have any doubts send him an email and ask everything you need to know about the product. This way you will have an idea about his integrity and if you want to continue bidding. Good luck.
For just a few quid more you could get This brand new Sony one from a reputable Power seller, so why even consider risking buying an inferior Alba one from an untried seller.
