Accident Advice
At a busy junction the car in front of me pulled out to turn right into a busy road.he got so far across realised that he couldn't cross and reversed back into me.he got straight out of his car, apologised and offered to fix my car as soon as he had been paid as he used to work 'in the business'.I went home and advised my insurance of the accident.having heard nothing I chased him up at the end of the month, he now claims that I drove into him which is totally untrue, what can I do to prove my innocence? There were no witness' but he claims he has 1 which he has obviously manufactured

TBH, I wouldn't have chased him up myself - that's what you pay your insurance company for - they would have written to him already if you gave them his details. You don't need to do anything except maintain your version of the story. Have you made a statement to the insurance company?
You could ask them if they have a camera which shows that junction - they might not let you look at it, but they'd certainly let the police do so. You can ask them if they still have the tape for the day of your accident, and ask them not to wipe it or record over it until the matter's been investigated.
Bit late for this advice in connection with this relatively common problem of people changing their story after the event.
In the future if someone admits liability and apologises then get them to sign a piece of paper to this effect (if they will).
If they refuse,then tell them that you are calling the police.Do so, and do not leave the scene until the police arrive.
