Grade 3 student challenged his teacher with this question: 'Which animal has the most bones?' The teacher has challenged me and I can't find it . He narrowed down the search for me, he said to look under birds or snakes. Can you help?

Whilst maybe not a direct answer, this info may help you in your search:
All snakes have at least 100 vertebrae; some have more than 400, even up to 500. Humans have 32 vertebrae, with a total of about 206 bones altogether.
Interestingly, a giraffe's neck has the same number of bones as a mouse's neck.
