Walking Day

It's been the village walking day today, police presence suggested it was going to be quite a disruption to traffic through the village. I've had grabdkids all weekend as they're parents are away til tomorrow and so I went out to watch, very disapointing, 4 church/chapel may queens and attendants but only one marching band, and that was the local brass band that is mainly older bloks, no scout band, when my kids took part there was at least the boys brigade band and the souts band. The turnout for the cubs,beavers.browies /guides whatever they are these days was very poor. Guess it's the sign of the times, even the Church banners were very poorly supported, and the legion didn;t seem to have any part in it at all.
