Which one of you lot has sent your British weather over 'ere?. The scudding leaden clouds have unleashed a deluge of torrential proportions, whilst a ground-creeping undulating miasma snakes malevolently across the sodden surface of the field upon which I am soon to set foot. Which one of you done it?

Just finished making a chicken pot pie for supper. Anyway, the sun is shining brightly now; it's 22 degrees and I can see whispers of stem arising from the sidewalks and roads. My shoes are going to get a soaking traipsing through the field later on...Cheers.
stewey..... I am a real oldie. However, I am still the cook in this household and my wife reads all of my postings into AB. She now wishes me to ask you for the recipe for 'chicken pot pie'.

Please help me to stop the feathers flying.

Chicken Pot Pie.

1 cup chopped onions, 1 minced garlic clove, 1 cup chicken broth, 2 cups cubed potatoes, 3 cups mixed frozen vegs., 2 cups chopped cooked chicken, 1 can mushroom soup, 1.5 tbsp all-purpose flour.

In a saucepan cook onions and garlic in margarine until tender. Add broth, potatoes, and vegs. Bring to boil then cover and simmer until potatoes are just slightly undercooked. Remove from heat. In a small bowl mix soup, flour, and chicken. Add this to saucepan and stir well. At this point add any spices and herbs that you like (sage is excellent). Pour into a casserole dish, cover with a pastry crust, and cook @ 400 degrees for 25mins or until crust is golden brown.

This, of course, is the basic recipe. Feel free to experiment:)
PS: the soup has to be the condensed kind.
It's about time. It's only fair that we share.....
haha, your post reminds me of this:
Ooops, does this one work?

I don't see any connection to my thread, Alwaysc; however, the clip was quite funny.
the first vid showed 'WHO THREW THAT!?!' 'she did, she did, him him him'. Ok, just me for that humour, then! I'll hide in my corner :D
Thanks stewey for the recipe. It's the sort of dish that my wife and I can enjoy.

Al.
