Transferring Picasa Edited Photo To Publisher

Can someone help me please? I'm designing some leaflets for my local Age Concern, and have a photo which I edited in Picasa and now wish to transfer to Publisher.

For ease of transfer I placed the edited photo on my desktop, but when I try to transfer it over, the photo reverts back to its unedited state.

I would be very grateful for guidance on how to transfer it as I edited.

How did you transfer the edited photo to your desktop? I've had a play around and cropped one of my photos. I then went to File - save as and saved it to my desktop. I don't have publisher but opened Word and inserted the photo. It inserted the edited photo.

Thank you Yorky Lass - I did as you described including putting it into Word and it worked! I then sent it into Publisher and the edited version was transferred perfectly. But for some reason I couldn't send it, edited, directly from Picasa to Publisher. Thanks again!
