4 Answers
I bought from amazon a edimax wifi booster EW-7811Un 150 MbpsWireless nano usb. The disc will not install, but it says xp/win 7, I have windows 8 so googled and downloaded the drivers for windows 8, still no good, actually I cannot find the driver anywhere. When I put their disc in it says "Access violation at address 77AD SO E8 in module intdll.dll write of adress 0042A521. Is there any simple way I can install this, if so please can someone tell me in very simple terms, if not, I'll give up, thank you for understanding all this.

Did you download the drivers from here http:// www. edimax. co. uk/ en/ support_ detail. php? pd_ id= 328& amp; pl1_ id= 1& amp; pl2_ id= 44 if so they say the drivers for Windows 8 are beta, that is, not fully tested to work ok, as such that might be your problem.

More help needed please. The ompany Edimax have sent me a driver link and I have downloaded it (I think) but cannot find it, where will it be on Windows 8? but I have plugged in the wifi usb and a little blue light is flashing away merrily. I did go into normal wifi connections and my wifi is there 2x so I put in the password and connected the second me as well, am I connected to this wifi booster or not? Haven't a clue.
HALLELUJAH have managed to get it going on windows 8 and another one on daughter's win 7 and theya re working! Now do I leave the usb wifi plugged in all the time, even when I am getting a good signal without them. And if I unplug them, will they automatically start working again when I replug them in? Sorry it's all confusing, but I am getting there!
