Hmm I would go for Luxor as I loved the temple does that trip include Valley of the Kings? When we went in 1976 we could only there by donkey. OH fell off front , back and sideways, he had blisters like eggs on his bottom. Cairo would presumably include Giza pyramids and sphinx and bazzaar ...it's a hard call as what one person likes another might not.
Well its a hard choice really. Cairo is an easy distance for the great pyrimids at Giza ,and the museum in Cairo is a must. Try not to miss Giza the tv and photos do them no justice.
If its not on exhibition somewhere, the mask of king Tut is in the Cairo museum an unbelievable sight. there are some great things in the museum. Among king Tuts toys there is a boomarang, and I thought they was an Aussie thing.
Yes a tough choice . Luxor is amazing great temple and bit more spacious. Cairo has the citadel the pyramids sphynx etc and very crowded with lots of poverty and slums. I would still pick Cairo though enjoy
I have been to both and this is a very tricky choice BUT I would go for Luxor....
While both are unbelievable and a must see...Luxor completely blew me away....
The Valley of the Kings was my favourite part of my whole trip. Karnak Temple, the bizarres, taking a boat over the Nile at dawn to the valley of the Kings - wow.
If you do go there though, please dont take a donkey to the Valley as the poor guys go through hell, overweight tourists etc and the owners do very well at disguising their injuries. I got a taxi in the end and persuaded everybody else do do the same due to the state they were in.
Enjoy - Egypt is wonderful whatever part you decide on!!
According to my experience I would like to suggest you that to visit Cairo city.
In Cairo you can visit many tourist attractions and here you will get more better travel related services according to your budget and requirement. Cairo is the safest city in Egypt with minimum crime rate. Here you will get the best service of accommodation, eat out and transportation.
