My 16yr old has been ill for 48 hrs high temp sick only once, never been out of bed, can hardly stand feeling very weak, dizzy, drinking only water and paracetamol. Any idea's? Thankyou

As soon as I read the symptoms I thought norovirus type thing, that's exactly how I felt when I had it. The GP won't want you in there with that anyway. I agree that A&E is way over the top. Ring your surgery and ask.

Thanks for all your concern's/ antibiotics given... severe throat thingy swollen glands etc back to bed with water etc, hes a wee soul.

I don't think A&E is warranted. But an app not at the GP if he's no better tomorrow?
