Hello ABers one and all. I hope you are all well and enjoying yourself. I am psyching myself up at the moment as I have a root block injection tomorrow afterrnoon I am a bit hesitant about; for, if it goes anything like the last, and that hurt like a female dog, I shan't be a happy spoony: as, though, the pain is on my right, I may not feel the exploratory needle going into the bone via xray (it seemed like an exploratory attempt) before the doctor pulls it out and begins the processs proper by inserting another needle in the bone with local anaesthetic, withdraws that one, then inserts another needle with the steroid. It took a coule of hours to recover last time, you would have thought me drunk. But while I am on the table, I leave you with a thought...
...If necessity is the mother of invention, what role does the father play?

Thank you 2sp, tonyav, maydup, and triggerhippy. 2sp gets the best answer because of the DNA quip.
The injection still hurt like a female dog, although I recovered a lot quicker than before. I would like to think that the anaesthetic has not worn off yet, as I cannot feel my right big toe although I can move it for the first time since August last year. Fingers crossed this injection will work, although it can take up to 2 weeks for it to start kicking in, as it were.
I am off to reformat my book to the publisher's specifications now, that's going to take me a fortnight to redo all the page numbers and make sure all the text fits the pages. While I am gone, have fun on AB for me.
