People would hardly go onto quiz shows if they didn't think they'd have a chance of winning. Maybe the pressure of the moment got to her and that's why she did so badly.

there is something in that, i reckon even the best quizzers go a bit pear shaped under the spotlight.

It's obviously much easier to answer the qns at home. Though I do think that some of today's qns were easier than usual. The one about the violinist (can't remember the wording) and the one where you just had to divide by 5 were particularly straightforward.
