renault Laguna 2.0 16v 2003

I recently cleaned my engine with a wet brush only and since then once the car warms up the engime management light comes on and it seems to be only running on 3 cylinders Could it be that there is some water got in somewhere ad if so how can i find out

You could have got some water shorting out one of the spark plugs, they sit in a deep well on top of the engine under the pencil coils.
