I couldn't see much use for the bible on a desert island even for theists. Leaving aside the contents, it's hardly a good read is it.
Agree with Mojo but I'd want all of Adams work. I have read and re-read HHGTTG several times and it has always made me laugh.

The thin pages of a typical bible would serve as cigarette papers if the castaway had any tobacco.
If you are a quizzer,think what trivia questions you could learn from the bible. For my other book I think I would like a complete collection of books by Leslie Thomas.
