Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on XP, Server 2003, Vista, Windows 7, Server 2008, Server 2008 R2 for x64 (KB2656351)
This update is downloaded and shown as installed everytime I turn off my computer, any idea why it keeps on returning? and what do I do to stop it, I am running windows 7 64bit if that helps

OK, here's Plan A: Go to the Programs and Features, on the left is an option to "View installed updates" - select that. Find the entry for KB2656351 and select Uninstall from the top. When it has finished, reboot your computer. When it has re-booted, go to windows update and it should be ready to download. I would de-select any other updates, so that it only does...

I resolved the problem by removing .Net 4 using the removal tool, rebooting the PC and installing .Net 4 from the download.
