I have decided after having Mia Farrow cuts for years and also hairdressers cutting part of my side of skin and losing blood off I am going to grow and grow and grow my own hair. My friends through cancer have lost their hair through no fault of their own so I am going to try to grow my own. I know "older" people don;'t suit long hair but I am going to give it a go. Never thought I would feel this way. But good luck to me says I.!!!!!

I would not dream of having it cut I have had long hair since my mid-teens and in the 70s when fashion wigs were in fashion, I bought a short elfin style one just to see what I looked like with short hair, I hated it as did all my family and friends, it just doesn't suit me at all. I'm lucky though as my hair is only going a bit grey underneath and has kept very blonde on the top layer. I may colour it if it gets too grey though. I try to look after it well, I wash it every day and curl the ends with a hair styler. I don't agree that older people look old with long hair, some of my younger friends had the chop (OH calls it the MAC - "Middle Age Chop) in their 40s and now I think their hair styles are very old fashioned. Not being vain, I just really prefer long hair.
