Do Foreigners "get" Red Dwarf And The Mighty Boosh"?
2 Answers
I remember reading somewhere that red dwarf/might boosh were "cult" programs enjoyed in many other countries so as many gags are not sight gags and many are uk "In" jokes i was wondering how foreigners would appreciate these jokes as they would be pretty hard to translate and then probably wouldn't be funny.

I do remember though, reading an article on the translation of Terry Pratchett books and how translators have to be not just word for word translators, but also creative enough to, in certain respects, translate the humour as well....have had a google but can't find the article.
