~Clearing Disk Space On Laptop
How do I clear up space? 235GB full. I think something is running and using space but I can't see what.
Also, when someone replies with an answer how do I reply to that person?
Thanks

I once found I had lots of restore point backs ups which were taking up space so i got rid of all but one. Videos can take up a lot of space too.
To answer your second bit, you just reply to your own question here with a 'thank you... ' message.

Clearing out your browsers cache will free up some space.
If you want to see which files are taking up the most space just search the hard drive directories putting in *.* in the search box of windows file viewer when the search is done sort them by size and the biggest will be at the top or the bottom of the list.
Don't delete anything in the windows or system folders as that will possibly stop the computer from working.
As already stated video and media files with music etc on take up quite a bit of room.

Sometimes a visual representation of the disk usage can be helpful so you could give JDiskReport a go http:// downloa d.cnet. com/JDi skRepor t/3000- 2248_4- 1033094 1.html - other such propgrams are3 available (and I'm sure I've used slightly better ones in the past).
As has already been said, do know what you are doing if you delete files that you don't recognise.
