One of the questions insurances companies ask is -
' have you ever been refused insurance or had insurance cancelled or had special terms applied '
On these insurance comparison sites , ( go compare for eg ) they give you a list of companies that has provided a quote , but also list companies who have not provied a quote , for whatever reason .
I have been asked the question - should the answer to the insurer question
' have you ever been refused insurance ' , be yes ?
To clarify - what you are saying is that these companies not offering a quote for whatever reason , is not classed as / the same , as them refusing you insurance ?
Isn't the fact that you have completed the forms on the the comparison company's website , ( which is linked to the insurance companies website ) mean that you are applying for insurance ?
Ok- so to be classed as being refused insurance , you would have to have been offered a quote - you then decide to go with the quote , with the insurer and thereafter, for what ever reason the insurance company then decide that they cannot actually provide you with cover .
Right up to the point where they find out that you have been refused elsewhere.....and refuse to pay out, no matter how genuine your claim, because you lied to them.....which then compromises your ability to get any further insurance.
