The US now has a round the clock channel for dogs. DogTV presents relaxing views of boats on lakes and the like, interspersed with "stimulating" episodes of dogs running and barking. The aim is to keep dogs at home amused so they don't become destructive or anxious in their owners' absence. The programmes are shot to accommodate dogs' sight, hearing, and colour perception.[The Times]

Would that work with your dogs? Mine pay no attention to TV, only showing interest when a puppy barks or any dog sounds to be in distress.

The rescue centre we got our cats from plays radio all day and TV all night in the pens so the cats don't get lonely.
