Rant Of The Day
16 Answers
I'm a relative newbe to answerbank (4 months) . I would first of all like to say what a great site and full of great characters , mamaylyne the matriarch & Baldric the top dog (pun intended) to name but a few. However what does anger me is when I see people asking questions and never saying thank you (good manners cost nothing). Plenty of fine people give good answers whose only reward will be a kind thank you. There are about 4/5 people I could name & shame indeed 1 person has asked 300 questions & never thanked once.
I'm I just old fashioned?

In some cases though I think people just don't know they can reply on their own threads. In some other cases maybe they just forget. Or maybe they don't see a need - maybe they feel a 'thank you' clutters up the site
bella ~ this is a sore point for many of our AB regulars.
I can understand as sometimes the person who is answering the question has spent much time and effort to obtain the correct information or answer and there is a cyber silence from the person who asked the question.
As you say it is a good site. Bit like going to the pub and meeting up with a huge group of friends ~ every so often there is a fight or a person winding all the rest up, but usually there is humour and harmony.
