At the end of the month my car is 5 years old. I bought it new from the Vauxhall main dealer. I booked it in for a service and MOT for today. Yesterday I rang to say I couldn't bring it in because OH (mic) was ill. What did they do. They collected the car at 8.30 did everything that needed to be done and brought it back at 3.15. No charge for collection or delivery. Good old JCT 600.

Jeza, I feel for you. My mum went through the same with my dad, and he had no legs. (((Big hugs to you and Mic.)))
Forgot to mention, it's good to know that good customer service is still around, and you were treated well.

Craft. I sent for a chiropodist, and a barber to shave him. Waste of time and money. I have bought a hair thingy but I'm struggling with the shaving bit. Any suggestions?
As for a nurse, not a chance.
Jeza apart from sitting down and talking to him about your needs as well as his I don't have an answer.
Surely he can see that you need a bit of 'me' time.

I worded that badly. The chiropodist was for his feet and toenails obviously.

I did not post this for sympathy. I posted to say what good customer service I got from JCT600.
We all care about you and Mic, Jez x
Sorry Jeza.............
JCT 600 have renewed my faith in garages and human beings in general!

No craft I don't think he does. The only "ME" time I get is when he is asleep. When I have to go out for shopping he panics. He sleeps sporadically. As much as I try to look after him he shouts at me a lot. He is not now the same man that I married. The vows said for better or worse.

Please don't get me feeling sorry for myself.

Athough I did say goodnight - didn't realise you are so totally alone. You really do need help whether it be private or NHS - what would happen to your husband if you weren't there to carry on. As OPs have previously said you so really need a break. Know from experience "patients" become extremely very selfish so you need to look from the "outside in" for your own sanity's sake.
