Waiting to speak to someone about my home insurance. Bet the bastards won't speak to me because I am not the policy holder. On Tuesday the post office wouldn't confirm ifsomeonewas going to command fix my Internet because I am not the account holder - even though I pay the bill.

Just say you ARE the policy holder. Say you have a very high pitched voice...

data protection won;t allow them to. what you can do for future is to get it on file (signed letter) that you are auth to deal with the policy and they can speak to you about it. Frustrating is't it!!!
what i would do is get your dad to ring up and pretend to be your hubby, whoever is on the end of the phone won't care as long as they pass the security questions.

All sorted - it's just the post office that are jerks,

RR - he is being transferred from ICU back to the ward later today. He's had most of the tubes removed and is bored now. He has been told that he has been really, really lucky (thankfully).

Thanks - he's bored now. Most of the tubes have been removed and he is going back to an ordinary ward when they can find him a bed. Will probably be in Birmingham for at least ten days so I have got to get visiting organised. They told him he had been really lucky (have done a tiny Google and he has been lucky).
