Need to get to London...

Hey, I was just wondering where would be the cheapest place to get train tickets from -I need to get to london on the 4th October this year. But every where I have checked the return prices are around �60 each. Does any one know of any where a little lighter on the pocket?

Where are you travelling from ? General trend for most railways is that the earlier you book the cheaper it is. Also the time of day that you travel is important - if you want to travel during 'rush hours' it will be more expensive.

Check out the prices form stations nearby. I live in Stoke (currently closed!) - and it is cheaper for me to drive to Crewe or Stafford and train to London from there - maybe the same applies for you? Apologies for being frightfully trendy and inventing the verb 'to train' - I was just typing out loud again!
