I spent the weekend watching cricket (ha!) with a bunch of Aussies. Every time any of them started to say anything they began each sentence with "aw look". As they were already gutted about the Test Match, I didn't want to risk upsetting them further by asking them so please can you tell me: what is it they want me to look at?

It's probably just something they say out of habit- their equivalent of 'Now then..." or "like i say..."
