hi i have a 2nd hand asis britax carseat that i want to use in a civic, However because it's old and they don't sell it anymore i can't find out if it's suitable for that car - anyone any idea how i could find out before tomorrow?
Halfords fit new car seats that you have bought from them , they don't fit second hand ones.
bednobs we have 5 car seats of various sizes and 5 cars in the family , all different models/makes, all the car seats fit all the cars with no problem.
A child car seat should fit any car , apart from very old ones pre 1980 or a few cars with racing type full harness seat belts.
They certainly used to Eddie. My youngest is now 9, so I may be out of date. The only thing then, was not to put a rear-facing carseat in a seat with an airbag.
I remember the air bag thing pixie but my new car a Zafira has 7 seats and 7 air-bags one to each seat . So there is no way you can put a baby seat in a seat without an air bag.
