Both Android and Iphone are great solutions.

However if you already have a large itunes library and are not technical, iphone is the phone for you.

Why waste your money on an expensive phone, if you won't use it's features?

Why bother upgrading at all. Your current phone works fine, and by the sounds of suits your needs, you don't require a new phone so stop trying to be hip and stick with what you like and love.

as for Ipoo vs Android it's really a question of do i want steve jobs to for ever be allowed to do what he wants to what i thought was my phone, or do i want a free open to develop platform to run my life from. If you don't care about the advantages one gives you over the other then i suggest you pick the fun that matches your outfit because just like 90% of consumers the true power of technology is wasted on you.

Two points.

I said I was rubish with technology not that I would not try and use the features on the phones

If I wanted a political debate I would use that forum so Zepth you must have plenty of time to waste.

Thanks back_ache for a usefull answer to my question
If you go iphone you can only use apps made specifically for the iphone, if you go Android you are not so restricted so many more apps available, I have an x10 Xperia, very impressed. :-)
I think its down to whether your an apple person or not really. I have an HTC dripd with android and its a great phone. As stated apple control too much and android regularly updates which is great. Samsungs with android are a good bet too.
That should read HTC desire :)
I got my granddaughter the x10Experia, she loves it 'more than life itself', because she can use all the apps with confidence. It would be wasted on me, still stuck with the old Motorola razr, I would like another (Pay as you go) it is looking a bit shabby now but not sure what to get either.
