Gus Poyet Sacked By Brighton

I can only assume (Going by the post of one of my friends on Facebook...
Shocking behaviour by Brighton to Gus Poyet sacking him virtually live on tv), he must be in the BBC studio, working on the Confederations Cup.

Everybody seems to be tight-lipped, gromit. Here's my original thread from May16th

Brighton have lifted Mauricio Tarrico's ban, but I don't know if he's still in a job with the club, or whether he'd follow Gus (Assuming that he doesn't appeal against the decision) out of the Amex.
The plot thickens...

Yes I was watching Spain v Nigeria when this happened. Always wondered what would happen if there was a manager in a TV studio being a pundit and he found out he'd been dismissed. And then it happens.
Of course it didn't happen "live". The BBC would have been in trouble also if they'd done that to him. But almost live I suppose.

We had some good times with Gus, going from League One relegation dogfight, to Championship promotion play offs.
But, at the end, he was a bit too public about the possibility that he might get a "better" job ... so, he needed a bit of a kicking.
He did a great job for us and, for that, I think Brighton fans will all wish him well, and look back fondly on the time he was with us.
But, when it comes to the crunch ... one manager is not bigger than the club.
NO ONE is bigger than The Seagulls!
