Mobile Phone Reviews??

Am about to upgrade my phone and have been offered:
(a) Nokia Lumia 610
(b) Samsung Galaxy Ace
(c) ZTE Grand X
Anyone got any comments on any of the above? Which would be best? I've not heard good things about the Nokia. Any help much appreciated

i have a galaxy 2 and its brilliant, i love it, far better than my last - htc. not sure how an ace compares though.

the lumia looks horrible imo and never heard of a zte...

I've just got a Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 and I'm well pleased with that. I'm a technophobe with mobile phones though.

Go on to Amazon and look at the reviews on the phones, might help.

I have a Nokia Lumia with Windows and just hate it. the Samsung seems to be more user-friendly.

i have the grand x - hate it.

'on paper' its a great phone - but it just doesnt do what its supposed to - i was getting texts and voicemails 12 hours after they were sent - apparently it was down to some app i had downloaded so i had to uninstall them all.

it has a habit of just stopping what i am doing for no reason.

its a shame because otherwise itd be a great phone - you could try it and see - just in case i just have a dodgy handset.

Hi

Just did some extensive research before buying first basic smart phone. Check out any phone you are interested in at the link below. There are other review sites -all much of a muchness. Wouldn,t touch the nokia.

For basic use (games like angry bird, web browsing/downloading, youtube etc) you need the following MINIMUM!
Gingerbread OS
1Ghz processor (preferably dual-core)
512Mb RAM
SD card support
2Gb internal memory
Camera/s - your shout.

I went for a samsung galaxy ace2 as a budget first buy mainly because they get better battery life. Now that I have found I like smartphones, I am upgrading to a S3 Mini

Make sure (unless you have unlimited DOWNLOADS - careful, many service providers will tell you that your contract includes unlimited BROWSING - however whenever your apps update, you are using part of a limitred amount of data ie DOWNLOADING. Youtube and voip (skype) use a lot of data) you set the phone to update only when connected to wiFi (what do you think all those folks in satrbucks are doing!!??) - cheaper and quicker.

Forgot to mention that I found the samsung galaxy ace2 to be an excellent inexpensive first smart phone. Hasn't got all the bells and whistles (Streaming HD movies etc.) but great value for money
