my neighbour has put decking on his sloping garden, he can now see in to our garden very easily,head and shoulders above the six foot fench, where do i stand leagley, as he is invading our privacy. Thanks Andy.

Sometimes you need planning permission for raised decking. It depends on the height.

However you can always put trellis up and grow some plants along it.

In your back garden you can erect a fence of 2 metres, at present your fence is 1.8288 metres.
The law is rarely the best first choice with neighbours, but in law, as has been said, there is virtually nothing you can do.

You have no 'right to privacy' in a garden. until recently it was normal to just have a wire fence about 4 ft high, we used to talk to the neighbours over the fence.

Call your local planning officer and ask the enforcement officer to check if it needed planning permission - if it does then overlooking is one of the things the planning officer will consider.
