Kicked Ball Onto Roof, Help?

I was playing football with my friends yesterday and i accidentally kicked the ball onto the roof of a medical center. The ball is quite near a window and would be easy to reach from inside the clinic. We didnt try and get the ball ourselves because we were scared we were gonna get caught. Surely they would help us get our ball back because we did the right thing and asked instead of trying to get it ourselves ( which would be trespassing). Thorough answers only please

Step 1- ask them politely.
Step 2 if they get it for you collect it off them and say thank you.
Step 3- if they say no then politely enquire why and see if you can persuade them.
Step 4. If they still say 'no' then either seek legal advice (not recommended) or buy a new ball (my preferred option)

Well said (or written) f-f, I agree with you entirely, jbg do not bother with step 4 (first option) you will not like the reply from your legal advisor and f-f does not recommend this course of action which is correct.
