Configuring An Ssd
Got a new build involving 2*1TB conventional drives and a 320Gig SSD for the OS (Win 8 Pro x64).
Last time I did this (on a Windows 7 machine) I found a handy website with a check list for the settings that need changing. Any pointers would be useful and save me some time (we're behind schedule on this and I need to get the bulk of the work done tomorrow)
Are there any differences with W8 compared to W7?
Your help, as always, is very much appreciated.

What was the website you got the settings from?
Cannot help you with your question as I know very little about W8, but I was thinking it might be easier to fit the SSD first and install W8 to it and then make sure you've picked up any windows updates first then add the 2 x 1TB drives later. (ie, fitted but not connected yet as far as power supply and SATA cables)

OK thanks.
These forums has few questions/answers about SSD's that might help you, although I didn't see anything specific about W8

To finish the story...
We eventually got the machine up and running (two motherboards and one processor returned to the supplier but that's another post ion itself)
Windows 8 is quite intuitive with SSDs and the Samsung came with a configuration CD which allows you to alter most of the settings from one place.
The only two things left to change were the Page File location and the User Profiles, both put on the conventional drive.
It now runs like poo off a shiny shovel.
