Blue Peter.

When Blue Peter first appeared on BBC in 1958 it had two presenters. Later in the 1960s it increased to three. In the 1990s they added yet another presenter. The latest head count is now five presenters. I have to ask whether it is necessary to have five presenters on a show which existed for so long with three. Are they all necessary. The logical conclusion of this is that by 3125, every person in Britain will be a Blue Peter presenter

Apparently not, as they're going back to four presenters soon.

That's good. In the old days they introduced the new presenter and within a week or so the old presenter was gone. Why do they need such a long overlap as they seem to have had five for quite a few months now.

When Blue Peter began it was only a fifteen minute programme. In the 1970's it was on twice a week and took a summer break. Now it is on three times a week and almost all year round.
