Rumbelows! Not heard of that for years - not really sure of the other two but I remember Chelsea Girl, Hintons, Fine Fare......funny isn't it how these all change names and everybody seems to own everybody else somewhere along the line...

Home & Colonial food shops.

MacFisheries wet fish shops

Better not go on reminiscing. Might remind myself how old I'm getting !

That is so spooky, yesterday at work a man called up and I asked his name and he said 'Mr Rumbelow' and I said 'as in the old television shop which nobody would remember now !' and he said 'oh I remember it' and we went on to have a conversation about it. Oh what about Bourne and Hollingsworth, Lyons Corner House, the ABC cafes, Marshall & Snelgrove, oh and those little sweet shops where you would say 'two ounces of pineapple chunks please' ....
