11 Year Old Yemeni Girl Speaks Out

I posted this in News but I really think it belongs here.
This video was made by 11 year-old Nada al-Ahdal, who on finding out she was about to be offered into an arranged marriage ran away and told the world in an open viseo letter.
She is so brave, dignified and eloquent and such an inspiration.

At what cost? The men will probably take it out on the girls for listening to 'the infidels'. It's going to take a while before these selfish medieval idiots start to become civilised.

Part of that process of change has to be young girls like this standing up for themselves and telling the world. Little would change were brave individuals to be cowed and not step forward, and that is what much of the mysogny is about- keep them cowed and compliant.

She is not too dissimilar to Malala, with her brave stance on education for girls which very nearly cost her her life...

I thought she was similar to Malala too Lazygun.
She has a platform and she knows how to use it.
For an 11 year old girl she is astounding in her clarity.
