There is no point in pushing the boundaries of comedy if what you come up with does not make you laugh. The prodramme had a bout 5 different characters doing the same thing throughout the 1/2 hour, things that weren't funny the first time. It was almost as bad as Catherine Tate!
come on, wake up! this was great comedy. At last a breath of fresh air. Im fed up with the cliche comedy at the moment. Copmedi is geting darket and this is a fine example. I will admit, not all the characters didnt work but there are some good charcters in there. This is a comedy that will grow on people, exactly like league of gentlemen and little britain. its also refreshing to see women leading the front line in a comedy show.
I have to say I loved Tittybangbang, my partner and I caught the first screening by accident and recorded the second showing a week later. We have it on Sky+ and have watched it over and over, howling with laugher each time. Like most of you I thought there were some weak characters, but more importantly there were some fantastic ones. Maxine Bendix - plastic slapper - is by far my favourite, followed very closely by The Italian Lady... don't look at me... Special mention must go to Don the Geordie who likes Piddlein on his ladies! It is off the wall stuff, but then as already mentioned the likes of Little Britain, the League of Gentlemen and to some extent Catherine Tate are also off the wall but still work incredibly well and are very popular. These things take time to take off, but I have a feeling that the school yards and offices around the UK will soon be replacing yeah but not but yeah but shut up with Dont look at me, its so boreing,,, or its just a little bit of seepage or even I do like to have a little wee wee on mi ladies. I loved this pilot and hope to see a full blown series very soon, although this time I think BBC3 should get their marketing machine into action and do more than surreptitiously slip it in to their schedule at midnight!
